Electric vehicle infrastructure

To meet community requirements a charging network must be developed across our region, with a focus on equality of coverage and availability

We need support to implement recommendations resulting from our evidence-based Community Electric Vehicle Transition Plan.

To make sure our residents and businesses can make the transition to electric vehicles smoothly and efficiently, we need to start work now. There’s a lot of planning and consultation required before we can get the right infrastructure in place.

Our plan indicates that 570 charging points need to be established across our region’s 64 activity centres by 2030.

Acknowledgement of Country

The Northern Councils Alliance acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Taungurung people, who are the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Melbourne’s north. We recognise the rich Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage within our region and their deep and continuing connection to land culture and waters.  We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Elders past, present and emerging who have and continue to reside in our region and are an important part of our region’s history and future.
